Terms of Purchase

These terms apply to every order placed with JoJo Aquatics. Placing an order means you agree to them. We keep them short and plain, because live animals deserve clear expectations on both sides.

Live animals

Everything we sell is a living organism. Color, size, sex, and markings vary from animal to animal and rarely match a photo exactly. Photos show representative stock, not the specific animal you will receive. Livestock is sold as-is, with the single important exception of our Live Arrival Guarantee below.

Orders, pricing, and availability

Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. Stock is limited and updated as best we can, but an item can sell out between your order and our packing bench. If we cannot fill part of your order, we will refund that portion and ship the rest.

Shipping and risk of loss

We ship live animals overnight on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders must be placed by 4pm Eastern on Sunday to make the next window. We hold orders when the temperature at your address is over 95°F or below 40°F and ship on the next safe day. You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address and for being available to receive a time-sensitive live shipment.

Acclimation is your responsibility

Live animals need proper acclimation on arrival. We publish our recommended drip-acclimation procedure in our Shipping & Acclimation guide. Losses caused by skipped or rushed acclimation, an uncycled tank, or unsuitable water are not covered.

Live Arrival Guarantee and claims

Your animals are guaranteed to arrive alive. If any arrive dead on arrival, photograph them in the unopened bag and file a claim within two hours of delivery following our Shipping Information / DOA Policy. Approved claims are refunded for the affected animals or reshipped when possible. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
