About our recommendations
Every species we sell, we keep ourselves. The water parameters, tank sizes, and tankmate suggestions in these guides reflect what has worked for us, cross-checked against the published literature for each species. We give ranges rather than single numbers, because stability matters more than chasing exact targets — most freshwater livestock will adapt to a wider range of conditions than the internet sometimes suggests, as long as the water is clean, stable, and well-cycled.
